Jordan – August 15, 2023 – The Hasaad project, funded by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China and run by the College of Advanced Vocational Training (CAVT), a Crown Prince Foundation program, has successfully wrapped up. Held between July 28, 2023, and August 15, 2023, at the CAVT campus in Ghor Safi, this initiative aimed to train local youth in various agricultural practices such as hydroponics, aquaculture, and drying fruits and vegetables. Participants also received training in personal development and English.
The project saw 18 young participants, who were pleased with the experience and suggested continuing the program in the future. CAVT believes in the importance of nurturing young talent and offering them real opportunities for growth.
The name “Hasaad,” meaning ‘Harvest’ in Arabic, is symbolic of the target audience—youth aged 16 to 18. This age group has great potential that can be harnessed to prepare future leaders, as emphasized by King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince. The project aimed to develop professional, technical, and life skills among the youth in Ghor Safi, using their summer break for valuable training that aligns with the Kingdom’s vision of advancing agriculture, ensuring food security, and tackling climate change.
In addition to agricultural training, the project offered sessions on topics like mobile devices, ceramic tile manufacturing, and electric cars. These extra components were made possible through collaborations with companies like Honor, Jinxin International Ceramics, and BYD Mobility Solutions Trading Co.
The success of this program involved the support of various entities, and thanks go out to everyone who contributed.
