Responsible for ensuring successful relations with the industry to promote the educational opportunities through maintaining linkages with training consultants, businesses, government and the general public to co-ordinate necessary steps for the purpose of providing quality learning opportunities and assist in the development of courses and programs reflective of the needs of industry in addition to the creation of in-job training opportunities as applicable.
Job Holder shall play a crucial role in ensuring CAVT’s programs meet the evolving needs of the labor market.
- Research, collect and compile reliable data regarding the surrounding industries of each institute across the kingdom
- Represent the College in meetings with the industries representatives and report and advise back to the Management with respect to industries needs and proposed partnership opportunities.
- Plans, oversees, co-ordinates and directs the delivery of programs and activities towards the needs of industry and labor market. In addition to coordinating with programs team in relation to developing the curriculum development to ensure alignment with industry needs and standards.
- Identifies training needs and establishes effective linkages with industry, government departments, professional and trade associations to develop an awareness of the programs and services available through the Campus and its associated institutes/branches.
- Conduct a thorough needs assessment of the local industry to identify skills gaps and tailor CAVT’s programs accordingly.
- Negotiate the funding opportunities with industry and draft and submit related proposals.
- Prepares and submits budgets to Finance with respect to the expected expenditures for each program and mechanisms of funding.
- Securing funding for industry-specific training programs, developing customized courses for businesses, or facilitating consultancy services.
- Develops and delivers presentations regarding partnership with the industry whether related to development of specific training programs acquisition and delivery or in-job training opportunities.
- developing and managing partnerships with industry, including creating and delivering presentations, negotiating agreements, and tracking outcomes.
- Ensure proper tracking and documentation of profits generation through all training initiatives for the Campus and its associated institutes/branches related to industry relations.
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic partnerships and initiatives that foster innovation and industry collaboration, including:
- Incubation Centres: Collaborate with CAVT’s incubation centres to support startups, facilitate industry mentorship, and provide networking opportunities.
- create training programs, share resources, and enhance the learning experience for CAVT students.
- Centres of Excellence: “Promote CAVT’s Centres of Excellence to industry partners to attract funding, collaboration opportunities, and enhance the institution’s reputation
- Provides resources and assistance with program delivery logistics.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to industry partnerships, student placements, and program outcomes.
- Prepare regular reports on industry engagement activities, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
- Participate in the creation of annual and periodic reports.
- Attends trade shows and job fairs to meet and develop relationships with clients with the intention to becoming their training provider and creation of on-job training opportunities to Campus and other institutes students.
- Identify and engage with potential industry partners, building strong relationships to support CAVT’s programs.
- Develop collaboration frameworks, including memoranda of understanding, to formalize partnerships and outline mutual benefits.
- Secure funding opportunities through grants, sponsorships, and other industry collaborations to support program development and implementation.
- Negotiate and manage internship and apprenticeship programs, ensuring alignment with industry needs and CAVT’s academic standards.
- Develop and execute a marketing and outreach strategy, in collaboration with the Marketing Director, to promote CAVT’s programs to industry partners and potential students.
- Organize industry events, such as workshops, seminars, and career fairs, to showcase CAVT’s expertise and connect with industry professionals. (also in collaboration with the marketing director)
- Conducting in-depth research and analysis of the Jordanian industrial landscape to identify opportunities and potential areas of collaboration for CAVT in addition to Developing and maintaining a strong network of contacts within key Jordanian industries and relevant government agencies.
- Performs other assigned tasks within the overall scope of role.
- Preferably 8 years of experience and knowledge of the principles and practices of business development and Industrial Relations.
- Bachelor degree in industrial engineering or related field master’s degree is referable.
