CAVT

ABOUT US

The College of Advanced Vocational Training in Jordan (CAVT) was established in 2022 by the Crown Prince Foundation, to promote the Technical and Vocational Education and Training sector in Jordan (TVET) through offering high-quality accredited and affordable, future oriented and technology enabled TVET programs across a diverse range of technical and vocational fields and aligned with global trends, to ensure highly skilled workforce capable of adapting to the evolving demands of the labor market.

CAVT has been endorsed as a national initiative for TVET reform towards being the “Lighthouse of TVET Reform.” CAVT partnered with the Vocational Training Cooperation to manage, organize and develop seven vocational training centers (the “satellite”) across Jordan (Hakama, Irbid – Female, Yajouz, Sahab, Ein Al Basha, Ghor Al Safi and Aqaba). In addition, CAVT is currently constructing—and providing the modern equipment for—its own campus at the new Wadi Al Seer location, with an aim for it to become a regional hub.

Our Partners

OUR
PRIMARY
OBJECTIVES

At CAVT, we are focused on enhancing technical and vocational training systems in Jordan, fostering entrepreneurship, and promoting equitable access to quality training.

Providing accessible, quality training that is demand- and supply-driven and expanding HTU’s technical education and training towards the lower segments of the qualification system (Technician, Craftsmen, Skilled Workers) to enable their progression.

Creating an environment that fosters entrepreneurship, vocational startups, and facilitating self-employment opportunities through the incubators program.

Supporting equitable access to TVET for women and vulnerable youth with different educational backgrounds.

Achieving a paradigm shift in mindset of TVET being perceived as one of the engines for economic growth in Jordan. It also aims to market the TVET experience as a more comprehensive learning journey by working to improve curricula and training tools and equipment, enhancing the capabilities, skills, and knowledge of trainers, the support community, and overall infrastructure.
